Verde Valley Wine Country is around the same latitude as Greece and one of our white grapes, Malvasia Bianca, originated there. We are becoming renowned for our Cote’ de Rhone style wines. Over 100 different varieties growi in the area including Cabernet, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Zinfandel.
Verde Canyon Railroad
Aboard the fully-restored vintage train, you are whisked back to a time of luxurious train travel. This four-hour excursion takes you on a 20-mile journey through 100 years of history. FP7 locomotives pull the renovated cars through a spectacular scenic feast for the eyes.

Native Archeology
Three Valley cultural sites–Montezuma Castle, Montezuma Well and Tuzigoot–are National Monuments. The petroglyph walls at V Bar V Heritage Site and the cliff houses of Honanki and Palatki are protected by the USFS and hundreds of minor sites like Beasley Flats lay around Camp Verde.
